Flühs Drehtechnik was founded in 1926 as a manufacturer for turned parts. Today, in addition to turned parts, we also produce valves and other assemblies for customer-specific system technology from high-quality materials such as brass, gunmetal and stainless steel. We have specialized in brass in particular, whose properties we have optimized for use in the sanitary sector thanks to decades of expertise.

Turning technology is an industrial manufacturing process in which a workpiece is rotated on a lathe and shaped by cutting and forming tools. It is the foundation of all Flühs products in valve technology and system technology. Our in-house toolmaking shortens lead times and adds flexibility and deep know-how to our production.
Turned parts are mechanically manufactured and mostly rotational symmetrical parts that are produced by turning on CNC or cam-controlled machines. They are often called automatic lathes because the workpiece is clamped and machined automatically. The Flühs machine fleet comprises more than 130 CNC and cam-controlled turning automatics, with which we produce about 1 million turned parts per day.
Valve technology is the design and application of valves for shutting off, throttling, and distributing liquids and gases in plumbing, heating, and air-conditioning systems (HVAC) and in heat and refrigeration technology. Our valve technology portfolio offers a wide range of solutions for potable-water installations.
Research and Development (R&D) is the systematic pursuit of new insights to drive innovation or optimize existing processes. Innovation and continuous improvement are key drivers of our daily work. Flühs maintains an in-house R&D department that collaborates directly with customers to develop custom solutions in valve technology and system technology.
Valves are devices made of metal or plastic that control and regulate liquids or gases in pipelines, for example, shut-off valves, check valves, or thermostatic valves. Flühs valves are used in plumbing fixtures worldwide and are renowned for top-tier quality.
Systems engineering (System technology) is an interdisciplinary approach to designing and optimizing technical systems so all subsystems contribute to overall performance. Flühs valves are often used in complex systems for electronically controlled showers or bathtubs, meeting very specific individual requirements.
Assemblies are a combination of individual parts that form a larger unit. For example, an assembly could be a valve. In addition to valves, Flühs provides complete assembly solutions tailored to your needs for maximum convenience during final installation.

Flühs manufactures turning technology from small to large series.
We use mechanical and computer-controlled single- and multi-spindle automatics for series production. Long turned parts are produced on dedicated CNC turning automatics; complex turned parts are manufactured on flexible turn-mill centers. Thanks to these highly automated processes, we maintain excellent quality even at high volumes.
